Luvannor joins national football squad

The national football team of Moldova on November 12 went to the sports ground in Vadul lui Voda to train before the match against Lithuania. National Division best scorer Henrique Luvannor, of Sheriff, joined in.

Brazilian player Luvannor was summoned to play for the national squad after he received Moldovan nationality. He said he was happy to play for the national team. “I want to help Moldova to score as many victories as possible. I hope to make my debut for this team with a goal,” the 23-year-old player stated for IPN.

The national team’s coach Ion Caras said Luvannor is very optimistic “He is a very positive player who will definitely help us. I’m glad that he speaks about the chance to play for the national squad with such enthusiasm,” he said in a news conference before the encounter with Lithuania.

The friendly against Lithuania will take place on Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau on November 18, starting at 7pm. The tickets are available for 20 to 120 lei. Moldova and Lithuania so far met seven times and shared the victories.
