The last elements of the decorative lighting were taken away from the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau on March 4. Chief engineer of the municipal lighting company “Lumteh” Anatol Aparatu has told IPN that about 10,000 lei from the municipal budget was spent on the decorative lights in central Chisinau.
Earlier, at the request of the company that administers the skating rink situation in front of the Government Building, the municipal authorities made a decision providing that the decorative lighting in the central square of Chisinau will be dismantled on March 15. But, owing to the high temperatures that melt the ice, the skating rink will stop work earlier.
A sum of about 400,000 lei has been spent this year on the Christmas illuminations in the municipality of Chisinau.
