The reduced natural gas charges come into force today, June 8. The National Agency for Energy Regulation’s relevant decision was published in the Official Gazette. Household users will pay a charge of 16,730 lei per 1,000 cubic meters of gas, plus VAT of 8%, IPN reports.
The rates set by the Agency, without VAT, are:
- at points of entry into natural gas transportation networks: 13,348 lei/1,000 cubic meters, down 11,368 lei/1,000m3 or 46% from the current charge;
- at points of exit from natural gas transportation networks: 13,514 lei/1,000m3, by 11,400 lei/1,000m3 or 46% less;
- at points of exit from high-pressure gas transmission networks: 13,666 lei/1,000m3, by 11,509 lei/1,000m3 or 46% less;
- at points of exit from medium-pressure networks gas transmission networks: 14,381 lei/1,000m3, by 11,112 lei/1,000m3 or 44% less;
- at points of exit from low-pressure gas transmission networks – 16,730 lei/1,000m3, by 10,373 lei/1,000m3 or 38% less.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation adopted the decision following the examination of the calculations and documents presented by SA Moldovagaz”.
