A local referendum on the dismissal of Ionila Lozovan from the post of mayor of Pitusca, Calarasi, will take place in the village simultaneously with the October 30 presidential elections. A decision to this effect was taken by the Central Election Commission on September 26, IPN reports.
The Commission decided that the local referendum will be held concurrently with the presidential elections in order to optimize costs.
In the same meeting, the CEC accredited over 500 national observers on behalf of the public association “Promo-LEX” for overseeing the October 30 presidential elections.
