Urban comfort is the most important thing. It starts with the apartment or the house in which each of us lives and which are laid out as we want, said the Party of Action and Solidarity’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau Lilian Carp. According to him, for this reason one of the most important commitments is related to comfort. “We will build a Chisinau City with more safe and comfortable yards and with block where dwellers will not waste money on heating, IPN reports.
The candidate gave a news conference in a yard situated on Gagarin Blvd in Chisinau, which he considers is in a precarious state. “We will fully rehabilitate 200 yards with safe playgrounds, new furniture, parking lots and underground waste platforms as many yards look like real waste dumps and are real hotbeds of infection, especially in summer, due to the decision to place the waste containers in open spaces,” said the PAS candidate.
He also said that 400 elevators will be replaced and the people will this way enjoy comfort and cleanness in their yards and blocks. “To satisfy the people’s wish to live comfortably, we will allocate 100 million lei annually to condominium dwellers’ associations for restoring the blocks and yards. We will repair the access ways to yards and will set up LED street lighting all over the city,” stated Lilian Carp.
In parallel, as the candidate promised, 500 apartment buildings will be thermally insulated and a municipal financing program – a common investment project between the local administration, dwellers and development partners - will be implemented. This way, the citizens of the city will be able to implement larger rehabilitation projects with smaller investments.
As it was decided by draw, Lilian Carp of the Party of Action and Solidarity will be next to No. 5 on the ballot.
