The Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party can lose the parliamentary majority and the Chicu Government can be removed through a split inside the Democratic parliamentary group, stated Action and Solidarity Party MP Lilian Carp, who noted that the six MPs who left the PDM could be followed by others, IPN reports.
“Today we see nothing new under the sun. Plahotniuc is able to attract as many MPs from the PDM as he wants. Those who were brought to the PDM by Plahotniuc were brought in particular conditions. There is information about these people that can destroy their political and private life if this is made public. Therefore, if Plahotniuc wants to attract another 5-6 persons, he can do it easily and the majority that supports the government will no longer exist,” MP Lilian Carp stated in the talk show “Expertise hour” on JurnalTV channel.
Valeriu Munteanu, who heads the Save Bessarabia Union Party, also believes that the leaving of the six MPs occurred with the involvement of the former Democratic leader Vladimir Plahotniuc.
“This is definitely a step taken by Plahotniuc, who is trying to buy clemency, to prove that he is the player, to show to the Americans and other global poles of influence that he can solve something in the Republic of Moldova. I’m sure that Plathoniuc – Candu can attract from the PDM as many people as they need to shake the Chicu Government,” said the politician.
Andrian Candu, Sergiu Sîrbu, Vladimir Cebotari, Eleonora Graur, Corneliu Padnevici and Grigore Repeshchuk left the Democratic parliamentary group and formed the Pro Moldova group.
