Lights will be turned off in Government Building in solidarity with people of Ukraine

The executive will turn off the lights in the Government Building and in a number of buildings of subordinate institutions on December 29, at 6 pm, in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița announced in the December 28 meeting of the Cabinet. The Premier also invited other institutions to do the same, IPN reports.

According to Natalia Gavrilița, 2022 was a difficult year for the Moldovans. The unjust war close to Moldova’s borders has a powerful impact on society and a lot of persons were affected by the financial and economic crises generated by this war. Many people had their incomes reduced and the number of those who need financial assistance increased significantly. The Government has made effort to implement programs of support for the citizens.

The official noted in this period it is important that the people support each other and show solidarity and understanding that would help them remain resistant.
