The Moldovan Parliament and the People's Assembly of the Gagauz Autonomy resume their cooperation. The decision was made on Friday at a meeting between the speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Marian Lupu and the presidium of the People's Assembly, Info-Prim Neo reports. Marian Lupu says the two legislature signed a cooperation program several years ago. As new MPs have been elected in the Gagauz parliament, they decide to resume the cooperation. “We're interested in the quality of the People's Assembly's work, because the economic, social and humanitarian development of the Gagauz autonomy depends on it much,” the speaker said. The Parliament, he went on, pleads for continuity in the cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly and will grant it legal and professional assistance. The deputies of the Comrat parliament have asked for the Parliament's help to better organize itself. The proposals worded at the reunion will be encompassed by a new cooperation plan to be drafted in November.
