Chisinau 01.04.06 Info-Prim Neo /ccv/ The broadcasting company TeleRadio-Moldova remains engaged in an open partisanship for the administration of President Vladimir Voronin, political and group interests promoted by the Party of Communists and its allies, according to an appeal of the leader of the Our Moldova Alliance (AMN), Serafim Urechean, to TeleRadio-Moldova chairman Ilie Telescu. According to the appeal, the Moldovan laws and mandatory criteria for public radio and TV service adopted by the Board of Observers of TeleRadio-Moldova are flagrantly violated. The political partisanship of the company plays a negative role in the European monitoring on democratic institutions of Moldova, country reports, recommendations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, halting the European integration process of the country. The hidden and strict control of the central political power dictates IPNA to ignore any arguments: the audiovisual law and IPNA; reveals direct problems faced by journalists who are restricted and selected within IPNA by independent institutions; complaints of citizens, civil and political organisations in Moldova indicating violated rights. Also, the AMN leader raises dissatisfaction with how the company reacted to a request to rectify a report on the March 12 protest meeting of AMN. He noted that the rectification was a repeat shirking of the company from own obligations. The information discrimination in IPNA and libel of AMN, the second large party in the Moldovan parliament, superposed on other strictly political issues in the period concerned. AMN added.
