Lawmakers convened for Thursday's First Parliament session

The first Parliament session of the year has been scheduled for tomorrow. It will take place as part of an extraordinary session, called at the request of the Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu, IPN reports.

The draft agenda for the plenary session of the extraordinary Parliament session, approved by the Permanent Bureau, includes bills related to the prevention and combating of organized crime. Additionally, the session will address international data exchange for verifying asset declarations and combating fraud directed against the European Union's financial interests.

The Parliament is also expected to ratify the Loan Agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the implementation of the "Optimization of the District Heating System in Chisinau" project and examine the initiative regarding the organization and operation of alternative child care services.

The plenary session on Thursday is scheduled for 13:00.

According to the Parliament's Regulations, when the legislature is not in ordinary session, it can meet in extraordinary or special sessions upon the request of the President of the Republic of Moldova, the Speaker of Parliament, or one-third of the lawmakers.
