Law to settle activity of the commission for collective consultations and negotiations

The modality of organization and functioning of the National Commission for collective consultations and negotiations will be regulated by a distinct law, which was approved in first reading in the last sitting of the Parliament, on Friday, June 2. According to Sergiu Sainciuc, the deputy minister of economy and commerce, approving the mentioned-above law will allow solving the problems regarding the organization and functioning of the commission and will remove the present legislation deficiencies in this area. The tasks of the commission are: tripartite consultations (Government, Patronages, Trade Unions) between social partners on social-economic issue, promoting the social partnership of all levels; maintaining the social unity, peace and stability, supporting the participation of the civil society on promoting the national policies. The national commission will be composed of 18 members and 9 substitute members, 6 members and 3 substitutes from each institution. Each territorial and area commission will include 4 members and 2 substitute members, named by each social partner. The draft law includes 29 articles separated in 4 chapters.
