The Oncology Institute has a modern laundry that was repaired and outfitted within a project financed by the National Health Insurance Company, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Ministry of Health.
The budget of the project is 700,000 lei. There were purchased centrifuges, washing, drying and ironing machines as well as laundry carts.
An autonomous boiler room was set up at the hospital in 2008. It generates steam for the laundry and this will enable to economize on gas. After the laundry is opened, the profitability of the boiler room will increase. About 800,000-900,000 lei will be saved a year.
The laundry of the Oncology Institute was built in 1970. About 80% of its equipment was worn out and did not meet the sanitary requirements.
