Political analyst Oazu Nantoi rejected the accusations that the poll had been fixed. “It is an aberration. We are a sick society and this poll shows this. The poll results do not represent the results of elections, but want about what is going on,” he stated.
Corneliu Ciurea, expert of the Institute for Development and Social Initiative “Viitorul”, said that he does not see problems in the fact that the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” was included in the poll. “The Platform “Dignity and Truth” represents a political phenomenon that should be somehow measured. As to suspicions, these always existed with regard to polls, especially on the part of politicians,” he stated.
Political analyst Victor Ciobanu also considers that the inclusion of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” is not a deviation. “Earlier, Renato Usatyi changed from one party to another, but the Usatyi phenomenon remained and had to be measured somehow. The inclusion of parties that weren’t registered with the Ministry of Justice in the poll was at the discretion of the organizers,” he said.
On December 8, the Institute for Public Policy presented the Public Opinion Barometer for November. The poll shows that if legislative elections were held next Sunday, 16% of the respondents would vote for the Political Party “Our Party”, 12% for the party of the Platform “Dignity and Truth”, 10% for the Party of Socialists, 7% for the Party of Communists and 7% for the European People’s Party of Moldova. The Democratic Party would gain 6% of the vote and would also enter Parliament. Renato Usatyi, Igor Dodon and Maia Sandu are the most trusted political personalities.
