The Central Election Commission warns that March 13 is the last day when campaigning for the new parliamentary elections that will take place in single-member constituency No. 38 Hâncești this Sunday, March 15, is permitted, IPN reports.
Under the electoral legislation, campaigning is banned on the election day and on the day before. It is not allowed holding/covering electoral agitation events. The election contenders cannot appear in TV or radio programs and cannot make transfers to and from the “Election Fund”.
The continuation of campaigning on the aforementioned days by the mass media, election runners or people represents a contravention that is punished with a fine of 750 to 1,500 lei in the case of private individuals and of 1,750 to 2,500 lei in the case of persons holding responsible posts or election contestants.
