In Chișinău alone, there are over a hundred thousand people who officially do not domicile in the capital. This should not affect their right and ability to vote in the November 1 presidential election. The NGO WatchDog.MD published a guide for voters who want to vote elsewhere than their place of residence registered in their ID card and for people who don't have a residence at all.

The guide explains what documents are required and where and when should these documents be submitted. Citizens who want to vote at their current place of stay at the time of the presidential election should provide their new place of residence before October 1 in order to be included in electoral rolls.

Applications must be submitted at the district praetorship by October 1. The guide lists the addresses and contact details of all five praetorships. The relevant forms can be downloaded from the WatchDog.MD website.

The address of the current place of stay or workplace should be filled in in the application. Applicants must sign the application, then register it at the praetorship. Applicants must carry their ID card and a xerocopy of the card. Subsequently, the person is included in the voter list which corresponds to the polling station linked with the stated address.

Applications submitted during the previous election cycle are no longer valid.
