Constituency No. 5: Glodeni, Râșcani consists of Glodeni town and another 18 localities of Glodeni district, Costești town and another eight localities of Râșcani district. The people there will vote at polling places No. 5/1-5/55. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, becomes the winner.
The list of candidates on the ballot is headed by the Democratic Party’s candidate Ion Leucă, a historian, manager, politologist. Ion Leucă has headed the district of Glodeni since July 9, 2015. He also manages the Glodeni district organization of the Democratic Party and is a member of this party’s National Political Council. For January 1, 2017 -December 26, 2018, the candidate declared over 592,000 lei in salary. His family owns a house, a garage, an apartment, a piece of land and two cars.
The Party of Socialists’ candidate Alexandr Minizianov is under No. 2. An economist by profession, he manages the individual enterprise “Minizianov plus”. The candidate is the secretary of the Glodeni local organization and a member of the National Council of the Party of Socialists. He also serves as a district councilor and a town councilor in Glodeni on behalf of this party. The electoral contender, together with his wife, declared over 33,000 lei for January 1, 2017 - December 26, 2018. The candidate also earned 20,000 lei from selling assets and over 286,000 lei rental. According to the property and personal interests statement, Alexandr Minizianov and his family own a house, a garage, farmland, commercial areas and four cars.
The candidate of the Shor Party Irina Dvorjanskaya is the third on the list. Sage manages the individual enterprise “Ianitsa Dvorjanskaya” and heads the Community of Russians in Glodeni district, being a member of the Congress of Russian Communities of Moldova. She ran in the parliamentary elections of 2014 on the list of the Sociopolitical Movement “Ravnopravie”, which was later taken over by Ilan Shor. The candidate and her husband declared over 192,000 lei revenues from sales and in rental for January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2018. The family owns a house, commercial areas and a car.
The fourth place is taken by the Our Party’s candidate Stela Onuțu, a jurist by profession. Since 2015, she has served as mayor of Glodeni. For January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2018, the candidate declared almost 218,000 lei in salary and over 32,000 lei in alimony.
Independent candidate Mihai Corj, a jurist, doctor of law, lawyer, university professor and dean of the Faculty of Law of the Nistrean Institute of Economy and Law, is under No. 5. Mihai Corj heads the public association Institute of Legislative Creation “Lex Scripta”. For January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018, he declared over 2.6 million lei revenues others than those from the salary. The candidate possesses four pieces of land and two cars.
The sixth spot is occupied by the Liberal Party’s candidate Ion Purice, a doctor by profession. The 32-year-old candidate is the vice director of the Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 4. For January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2018, Ion Purice declared over 29,000 lei in salary while working at the Parliament’s Secretariat and over 231,000 lei while working at the hospital. He owns a car.
The candidate of the electoral bloc ACUM Platform DA and PAS Rodica Nemereno, a journalist by profession, is under No. 7. She is a TV producer at TV PRIM. For January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2018, the candidate declared almost 157,000 lei salary and 14,000 lei successor’s pension. Rodica Nemerenko possesses an unfinished house and an apartment.
The eight place is taken by independent candidate Nicolae Gorcea, a mechanical engineer and politologist. The candidate is the director of SA “Faur-Constructor”. For January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2018, he and his wife declared over 330,000 lei in salary and more than 210,000 lei earned from other sources. The family owns four pieces of land, an apartment and two vehicles.
