Know candidates in your constituency! No. 39: Cimișlia, Leova, Hâncești

Constituency No. 39: Cimișlia, Leova, Hâncești includes Sărata Galbenă village and another 12 localities of Hâncești district. The electors there will vote at polling places No. 39/1 to 39/52. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, emerges victorious.

The first spot on the ballot is taken by the Democratic Party’s candidate Gennady Buza, a surgeon by profession. He has headed Hâncești district since 2015. The candidate manages the Hâncești district organization of the PDM and is a member of the National Political Council of the PDM. According to alege2019.md, Gennady Buza worked at the Hâncești District Hospital starting with 1991. When he was chosen head of the district, he managed the consultative section of the polyclinic of the Hâncești District Hospital. From the post of doctor, he during many years managed the  medical-military drafting commission of Hâncești district. The candidate and his wife for the last two years declared salary revenues of about 849,000 lei, 50,000 lei earned from the sale of a car an about 71,000 lei from other sources. He owns four lots of land, a house, an apartment and a garage.

The Shor Party’s candidate Victor Terente, a master of political sciences, is under No. 2. For the last two years, he and his wife declared €150,000 main revenues and 40,000 lei earned at birthday parties. The family owns a lot of land, a house and a car.

The Party of Socialists’ candidate Olesea Brînză, a teacher by profession, comes third. She is the executive secretary of the PSRM’s local organization in Hâncești and is a member of this party’s National Council. Since June 2015, she has served as a local councilor in Obileni village of Hâncești district on behalf of the PSRM. In 2011-2013, she worked as a cadastral engineer, while in 2014-2016 as a teacher of biology and geography at the secondary school in Obileni. For the last two years, the candidate declared 174,000 lei salary, a plot of land, a house and two cars.

The candidate of the electoral bloc ACUM Platform DA and PAS Kiril Moțpan, a philologist and jurist by profession, is under No. 4. He is the secretary general of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”. In 2013-2016, he served as the executive vice president of the Theatrical Union of Moldova, while in 2009-2012 headed the Public Relations Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova. He is the ex-vice president of the International Police Association, Moldova division, a police colonel in reserve. For the last two years, the candidate and his wife declared about 381,000 lei salary, approximately 7,000 lei from teaching activities, more than 230,000 lei from donations and inheritance, over 230,000 lei from the sale of an apartment and 25,000 lei from other sources. The candidate has over 176,000 lei in bank accounts. The family owns three lots of land, an apartment, a house and a car.

The fifth spot on the ballot is taken by the Liberal Party’s candidate Simion Roșca, a philosopher and doctor of philology who teachers at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and at the Institute of International Relations of Moldova. He headed a department at the Police Academy “Ștefan cel Mare”. For the last two years, the candidate’s family declared over 523,000 lei salary revenues and more than  51,000 lei from teaching activities. The candidate owns a lot of land, a house and a car.
