Kickboxing team wins 37 medals at World Cup in Hungary

The national team of Moldova had an excellent performance at the World Kickboxing Cup in Hungary. The team trained by Eugen Musalimov has won 37 medals at this competition, IPN reports.

Five athletes won gold medals. These are Andrian Gologan, Ilie Mereacre, Petru Morari, Igor Boscanean, and Alexandru Popa. Moldova, being represented by 41 athletes, also won 14 silvers and 18 bronzes.

“The leader of the Moldovan team Andrian Gologan had the best performance. He fought excellently against worthy opponents,” secretary general of the Oriental Kickboxing Federation of Moldova Petru Coltuc has told IPN.

The World Championship that will take place in the Italian city Rimini on September 6-14 is the next contest in which the national kickboxing team of Moldova will compete.
