The Moldovan Judo fighter Petru Pelivan has won a silver medal at the Junior European Cup taking place in Athens, IPN reports.
Competing in the 73 kg category, the 19-year-old scored four victories against Omer Miyara (Israel), Kacper Kaczor (Poland), Adam Bydzovsky (the Czech Republic) and Ido Levin (Israel). Pelivan was only defeated by Belarus’s Yahor Trukhan in the final.
In the 66 kg category, Moldova’s Adil Osmanov finished in the 5th place, and Grigore Taban occupied the 7th slot in the 90 kg category.
