Moldovan judoka Dorin Goțonoagă has won a bronze medal at the 2019 Summer Universiade or World University Games held in Napoli, IPN reports.
In the 81 kg weight class, he scored five victories and was beaten only by the future winner Hikaru Tomokiyo of Japan. In the match for bronze, Dorin defeated Germany’s Janosch Unfeld.
In the 90 kg class, Iurie Mocanu ranked fifth, while Victor Sterpu won only one victory in the 73 kg class. Denis Vieru enters the competition in the 66 kg class on July 6.
