Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will have a meeting with the President of France François Hollande on June 16. The Premier will be paying a visit to Poland on June 16-17, it is said in the Government’s online journal “Infogov”, IPN reports.
The officials will discuss Moldova’s European prospect, the situation in the region in the context of the crisis in Ukraine and the bilateral cooperation. Emphasis will be put on the attraction of foreign investment to Moldova’s economy.
Iurie Leanca said the relations with France represent a strategic objective of Moldova’s foreign policy as France is one of the founders of the EU.
Iurie Leanca and François Hollande had a meeting on November 29, 2013, on the sidelines of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius. The French President said then that his country supports Moldova in its European integration efforts and pleaded for strengthening the bilateral contacts, underlining that the intensification of the commercial and economic relations is the best way for coming closer to the European community.
