Iurie Leanca goes to Moscow

Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca will pay a working visit to Moscow on March 29. The Moldovan official is to discuss a wide range of issues concerning the bilateral relations with his Russian counterpart Serghei Lavrov, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Foreign Ministry. The two ministers will also sign the humanitarian cooperation program between the Government of Moldova and the Government of Russia for 2011-2013 and the plan of interministerial consultations for 2011. The program of the visit includes meetings with other Russian officials and a meeting with a group of politologists specialized in international relations. Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca started his tour of working visits on March 16 in Bucharest, where he met with high-ranking Romanian officials and the EU Ambassadors to Moldova based in Romania’s capital and discussed the Moldovan-Romanian relations. From Bucharest, the Moldovan minister went to Germany and then to Denmark, where the basic discussions centered on the bilateral relations and the signing of documents on the readmission of persons staying illegally and the facilitation of the visa regime for Moldovans travelers.
