It is a dangerous absurdity to equate oligarchs with pensioners in terms of social protection, said former MP Alexandru Slusari, referring to the allocation of equal compensations for all families when paying the first 110 KWh of the electricity bill, IPN reports.
It happens in the context of the support offered by the European Union to the Republic of Moldova in order to overcome the energy crisis.
"We are obliged to use this rational support and to provide it, even if a differentiated way, namely to those people who need it most. In addition, it is necessary to support agriculture and some of the industries as much as possible so as to avoid the rise in prices, bankruptcy of enterprises and reduction of jobs," said Alexandru Slusari, who is a member of the Board of Directors of Energocom.
From the financial support announced by the EU, the right bank of the Nistru will receive €250 million in the medium term. Of this amount, €150 million will go to compensate the people for the increase in electricity charges.
