Israel has offered modern medical devices for providing high-quality medical care to newborns to perinatal centers of nine district hospitals of Moldova, IPN reports.
The consignment includes eight incubators, six resuscitation tables and three infant radiant warmers. The medical equipment was distributed to the district hospitals in Soroca, Orhei, Ungheni, Căușeni, Edineț, Cantemir, Criuleni, Ștefan Vodă, and Strășeni.
According to the Ministry of Health, four devices of the 17 were delivered to the perinatal center in Orhei, being set up in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The last time the perinatal center was provided with an incubator and radiant warmers over 20 years ago, as health workers said. They noted that the new equipment is very necessary for looking after and treating premature or sick babies. Over 1,000 women from Orhei, Telenești, Șoldănești and Rezina districts give birth annually at the district hospital in Orhei.
