The Consumer Protection Agency carried out a number of unplanned inspections at nightclubs and identified serious violations of sanitation and food storage rules. In some of the clubs, the consumers were cheated as to the volume and weight of the products, IPN has learned from the Agency.
The food storage conditions in a number of the inspected nightclubs weren’t monitored, the hygiene rules were not respected, food products with the use-by date expired were used and there were no devices for determining the temperature and humidity level.
Some of the alcoholic products didn’t contain information about the producer in the official language and had the sell-by date expired.
Fines will be imposed in these cases and other competent authorities will be notified of the given irregularities.
The inspections at recreational facilities, nightclubs and other public places working at night were kicked off on November 6 with the aim of checking the quality of services provided by them and determining if the product labeling norms and smoking rules are obeyed.
