The Republican Party "Heart of Moldova" holds consultations with citizens on the organization of a consultative referendum on the permanent neutrality of the Republic of Moldova, concurrently with the parliamentary elections of 2025, said the party’s leader Irina Vlah.

In a news conference hosted by IPN, Irina Vlah said that this is the first major initiative of the political party since its founding.

"At the end of these consultations, we will inform about the taken decisions," noted the former governor of Gagauzia.

Irina Vlah also said that after the Republican Party "Heart of Moldova" was created, a number of local organizations were formed and hundreds of citizens joined the party.

"We were joined by over 1,200 citizens, and local organizations were established in over 22 districts. Now we are in the process of branching and strengthening the party and I am sure that during a short period of time we will become one of the most powerful political parties in the Republic of Moldova," stated Irina Vlah.

As for 2025, Vlah said she expects it to be an "extremely difficult" one.

"The energy crisis and the pressure on society will also have their say. Poverty will also have an impact as it will deepen further as a direct consequence of the energy crisis. Under these conditions, the people will be the absolute priority of the Republican Party "Heart of Moldova"" said Irina Vlah.

She addressed the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, noting that a mobilization effort is needed to face the difficult situations in 2025 and to bring the Republic of Moldova back on a path of development.
