Independent candidate for President Irina Vlah pleads for a “balanced” foreign policy. In a video published on her Telegram channel, Vlah says that the interests of the country and the citizens must prevail, but during the years of government of Maia Sandu’s regime, the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova was transformed into an instrument for promoting the interests of the regime.

The candidate promises to take a series of measures to strengthen the sovereignty and international authority of the country. “But the most important thing is that I will not allow anyone to involve Moldova in foreign military scenarios,” noted Irina Vlah. She pleads for partnerships with both Russia and the U.S., supports the rapprochement with the European Union, but without infringing the interests of the Moldovan citizens, and considers it necessary to “maintain ties with the CIS countries, for the benefit of our businesses and compatriots”.

At the same time, Irina Vlah said that the Republic of Moldova should be guided by the principle that big politics is for big countries, while small countries resort to smart politics.

Irina Vlah runs as an independent candidate in the presidential election of October 20, is under No. 5 on the ballot and campaigns with the slogan “President of Peace”.
