April 1: The clients of SA “Apă-Canal Chișinău” can activate the service to get the water bill in electronic form. For the purpose, they need to fill out a form on the company’s website. When filling out the form, the persons need to choose the contract for which they want to receive the electronic bill and to indicate the full address of the place of consumption. Later, the users will receive a confirmation message.

April 1: The 2021-2022 heating seasons for all the consumers in the municipality of Chisinau, except for kindergartens, boarding schools and hospitals, ends on April 2. The consumers in the municipality of Chisinau will continue to be provided with hot water in a centralized way.

April 1: Over 76,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in the municipality of Chisinau during a year of work of the Municipal Vaccination Center. The local public authorities said the municipality of Chisinau reached the highest vaccination rate in the country, of 48%. However, together with the persons who got vaccinated abroad, the estimated rate exceeds 70%. Of the 76,000 doses, 18,000 were administered as part of the four marathons staged at the Center. Over 48,000 persons were immunized at mobile bus and trolleybus vaccination points.

April 5: Works to modernize the Summer Theater in the Chisinau Park “Valea Morilor” are underway. These are performed in the area of the amphitheater and include the taking away of the old wooden seats that are seriously damaged. The seating capacity of the Summer Theater will be of about 7,000 and this will remain the largest open-air threaten in Europe. The works are performed on the first floor only and the benches and paving are being replaced. The works will last for 60 days and the Theater will remain closed in the period. A sum of 6 million lei was allocated for the renovation works.

April 7: On the occasion of World Health Day, the obstetric-gynecological operating department at Gheorghe Paladi Municipal Hospital has reopened after rehabilitation. Six operating rooms have been provided with modern equipment and new operating tables, and the preoperative unit has been renovated. The rehabilitation has cost the municipal budget 7 million lei.

April 12: Approximately 900 outbred cats and dogs with owners will be neutered free of charge in the capital city until September 1 this year. Karl Luganov, acting head of the Animal Protection Unit of the General Public Amenities Division, has told that the goal of the project is to prevent the uncontrolled breeding of the populations of cats and dogs and to avoid the abandonment of animals. As part of the project, pets will be sterilized, microchipped and vaccinated against rabies. There will be issued the animal’s veterinary passport. The concession is intended for pensioners or persons with low incomes.

April 20: The contract for the purchase of GPS data for the public transport system of the municipality of Chisinau was won by “Arobs Trackgps” SRL as a result of a tender contest that involved five bidders. There will be launched a platform enabling to track each trolleybus running on routes in Chisinau in real time, particularity to see if this is behind or ahead of schedule, its complete route, the time needed to cover the distance between stations, the speed, etc. The application will have a user-friendly interface and could be used both through desktop computers and through mobile devices.

April 20: In connection with the Easter holidays, the Chisinau City Hall provides financial assistance to almost 12,000 persons. As many as 1,630 persons who are members of the Chisinau Local Organizations of the Association of the Blind of Moldova and of the Association of the Deaf of the Republic of Moldova will receive by a lump sum of 500 lei. By 100 lei will be given to 9,182 older people, persons with severe, profound and moderate disabilities who benefit from travel allowances or season tickets for traveling by public transport whose pension does not exceed 1,450 lei and who are under the supervision of local social assistance offices. Another 990 socially deprived persons will benefit from lump sums based on the filed applications following the assessment of their needs.

April 27: The municipal road maintenance company “Exdrupo” plans to purchase 29 units of transport this year. The purchase will be made with a loan of about 40 million lei. A decision to this effect was approved by the municipal councilors. The company will buy by bulldozer-excavators, frontal loaders, auto-platforms with double cabs and special vehicles intended for mechanized cleanup, tractors and multifunctional trucks and other types of vehicles. Under the draft decision, the loan will be repayable in four years.
