Ion Terna medaled bronze in clean and jerk at the European Youth Weightlifting Championships that is held in Israel, IPN reports.
In the general rankings, Terna took the fourth spot in the 62 kg class with the result of 264 kg (118 kg in snatch and 146 kg in clean and jerk). Romania’s Ionut Ilie won gold with a total of 284 kg.
At the European Youth Weightlifting Championships, Moldova is represented by three more weightlifters, namely Andrian Motricala (105 kg), Ecaterina Cilcic (63 kg) and Ecaterina Tretiakova (69 kg). The competition closes on December 11.
