Premier Ion Chicu said that our society is disappointed in the state institutions and in the future of this state and it is divided according to different criteria. In a video interview for IPN News Agency, the Premier said the current state of affairs in the country is the result of the work of irresponsible politicians who always tried to obtain advantages from the split of society.

The official noted that after almost 30 years of the declaring of Independence, not many of the people’s hopes and expectations for a better life in an independent country came true. However, positive things were done and a new state was built from the beginning. This is first of all the merit of the people.

According to Premier Chicu, the Moldovan citizens have potential to further develop the state. A crisis is also an opportunity and one can recover from any crisis. “It is the theory of cyclicality. Ascension always follows after a fall. We are at the stage when we can stimulate the ascension. We have the necessary reserves and resources. It is important to strengthen society, to unite around the objective of increasing the quality of life.”

Ion Chicu said the whole society will concentrate on the country development and modernization objective, on an upward path that will definitely follow and Moldova will advance swiftly. The country can further develop. The improvement of things is not something illusory and is possible.

The interview “Prime Minister Ion Chicu’s view about the state of affairs in Moldovan society at the intersection of years” forms part of the series. “Crossroads of years through the angle of the ideal of living better at home” that also involves President Igor Dodon and the leaders of the main parliamentary parties Andrei Năstase, Pavel Fillip and Maia Sandu.
