Para judoka Ion Basoc (+90kg) reached the final of the Paralympic Games held in Paris. In the semifinals, he defeated France’s Jason Grandry 10:0 by ippon, the fight lasting for only 16 seconds, IPN reports.
In the final of the para judo event, Ion Basoc will meet Brazil’s Wilians Silva de Araujo starting at 05:10 p.m., Chisinau time.
Ion Basoc is at his second participation in the Paralympic Games. In 2021, he contended at the Tokyo Paralympic Games and ranked seventh.
