Involvement of USA and EU is the single solution to Black See region’s stability – Romanian President

The involvement of the Unites States and European Union is the single solution to the stability in the Black See region, Romanian President Traian Basescu recently stated at the international conference regarding the economic development and security in the Black See region. According to the Bucharest press, Basescu has indirectly accused Russia that it supports the frozen conflicts in Moldova and Georgia because it profits from their results. "The single winner after supporting these frozen conflicts is the country that does not wish to have a democratic development. It is the country that still believes it can control other states in next decades", Basescu said. The President voiced his certitude that Romania, as member country of NATO and future member of the EU, must involve in the elimination of the threats in the zone. Traian Basescu launched an appeal to cooperation to cease such frozen conflicts, bearing in mind the territorial integrity of each country involved.
