Intoxicated man attempts to commit suicide

A drunken man tried to kill himself on Monday in the centre of Chisinau in front of passers-by. His veins cut, the man was admitted to the Emergency Hospital. Chisinau Emergency Service Doctor Coordinator Eufalia Negreata told Info-Prim Neo that the incident happened at 17.30 in the Great National Assembly Square. The intoxicated man aged 50 cut his left arm veins. Another suicide attempt was committed by a man aged 46 living on Gheorghe Asachi Street. He was saved by his wife, who got him off the noose. On the same day, a 20 year old woman took an overdose of drugs attempting to kill herself. She was found before it was too late and hospitalised. The Chisinau Emergency Service registered 780 calls on Monday, including 86 cases of severe virosis, one head stroke, and 2 heart attacks.
