Interest average rate to deposits in national currency, in last week of February was 2.7%, comparing to 5.2%, in the first week of the month. In the same time, the volume of deposits increased, according to data of the National Bank of Moldova. Within this period, the volume of deposits in national currency was1,209.8 million lei, and in the first week - 878,14 million lei. Interest average rate to deposits in foreign currency was 0.5%, and their recalculated amount in lei was 252,7 million lei, while at the beginning of the month interest rate was 0.6% (203,5 million lei). In the first week of January, the interest average rate to deposits was 2.14%, and in the third week 3.12%.
