An informal Summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States started in Moscow. The president Vladimir Voronin also participates in the Summit. According to RIA-Novosti, the states participating in the summit will discuss about the evolution of CIS taking into consideration the agreements signed in 2005 at the summit in Kazan. At the same time, the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin will inform about the conclusions of the G-8 summit that took place in Sankt Petersburg. According to the quoted source, the leaders of CIS member states will talk about humanitarian collaboration, declared as priority within the reform of the Commonwealth. Because the summit is informal no documents will be signed. The leaders of CIS member states will participate on July 22 at the invitation of Vladimir Putin at the horse race for the cup of the president of the Russian Federation. The Press Service of the Presidency announces about the participation of Vladimir Voronin at the summit in Moscow. At the same time, Ukrainian press writes that although the visit of the president Victor Iuscenko is planned, he will be missing because of Ukraine’s political situation.
