Inflation rate in January 2006 was in average 1.9%

Consumption price in January 2006 increase with 1.9%, inclusively to food goods - with 2.9%, non-food goods - with 1.5% and to services provided to population - with 0.6%, comparing to December 2005, according to National Bureau for Statistics. Higher increases to prices in this period were registered for grates - with 22.7%, carrot - with 49.6%, fresh cabbage - with 37.6%, cucumbers, tomatoes with 23.7%, 22.4%, onion - with 19.9% and potatoes - with 14,4%. The price to apples increased with 11,1%, fresh fish - with 6.7%, milk - with 3.7 % and alcoholic drinks - with 2.8%. To non-food goods, prices increased to drugs – with 6.8%, brick - with 3.7%, newspapers and magazines - with 2.3% each. In the same time, tariffs for provided services increased for railway transport - with 9.1%, post - with 6.3%, sanatoriums – 6.2%, water supply - with 5.6% and air transport – with 2.2%. In January, prices to certain goods reduced, as eggs – with 6.9%, poultry - with 2.2 %, sugar – 2.1% and buckwheat - with 0.4%. In rest, the prices to majority goods and services provided to population remain at the level of those of December 2005. In January 2005, the inflation rate represented 1.1%, comparing to December 2004.
