The Ministry of Finance began to pay the indexed amounts to depositors of Banca de Economii (Savings Bank) who submitted applications for registration until December 31, 2023. Thus, people born before 1991 inclusive, who didn’t benefit from the indexed amounts at the first and second stages the previous years, can collect the money, IPN reports.
The recipient, the representative or the heir can go to at any post office of the state-run enterprise “Posta Moldovei” with the identity card to get the money. The heir will additionally present the death certificate and the notarized copy of the inheritance certificate, while the representative - the power of attorney.
Depositors born before 1991 inclusive, who haven’t submitted applications for indexation so far, can apply at any office of “Posta Moldovei”. They need to have the identity card and the savings books of accounts opened before January 1, 1992.
The Ministry of Finance noted that the indexed amounts will be paid depending on the resources earmarked in the state budget for indexation. A sum of 15 million lei was allocated for the purpose in 2024.
