The Republic of Moldova will use the goTravel AIR software solution to manage air passenger transport statistics and improve security procedures. The Cabinet on Wednesday ratified the Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations for the licensing of the goTravel AIR software solution and the provision of related support services, IPN reports.
"GoTravel AIR is an internationally used solution and works by automatically collecting and analyzing travel data, identifying risks in real time. The system is integrated with the international database, automates border checks and uses advanced algorithms to detect threats," said Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin.
According to the official, this process improves national security, reduces inspection times and aligns the Republic of Moldova with international data management and border protection standards.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the benefits of such a decision are multiple and aim to strengthen the capacities of public authorities in preventing and combating crime and countering threats to state security. A positive impact on tourism and regional development is anticipated.
