The Action and Solidarity Party does not have, for now, a final decision regarding the ministers who are to be dismissed, but what is certain is that Prime Minister Dorin Recean remains head of the Executive, said the leader of the PAS Igor Grosu. According to the official, the justice sector is the one that spoils the country's image the most, but it is not yet known whether Minister of Justice Veronica Mihailov-Moraru will remain in office or not, IPN reports.

PAS chairman Igor Grosu said that by the 2025 parliamentary elections, the legislation will be amended so that electoral corruption will be punished much more harshly. The authorities will take prompt decisions to combat the phenomenon of vote buying.

"We need to amend the law and toughen the penalties for those who corrupt voters. This kind of crime must be raised to another rank, to qualify it differently than a simple corruption of the voter. This is what the voters asked us for. We will start the fining process right in this session, because we don't have time anymore. And there will be other proposals in the "take off the gloves" series and move on to more decisive actions because the bandits do not understand other language. And we can't go to the slaughterhouse in the next campaign because their cynicism has no limits. The Kremlin has no problems with dirty money and will want to allocate even more to thwart the European path," Igor Grosu stated in the program "In Depth" on ProTV Chisinau.

The PAS chairman said that Cabinet reshuffles are necessary, and now the party is looking for professional and upright people who will take over the vacant positions. For now, it is not decided which ministers will leave the government team.

“We do not have a decision on the reshuffles now, but we understand that they are necessary. We have made reshuffles before. They were made not because our colleagues discredited themselves through a reprehensible action or in matters of corruption, as Andrei Spînu is unjustly accused. There are colleagues who are good in a certain situation, but in overlapping crises it is good to have a minister who can implement strategies and respond quickly to the challenges that arise along the way. We need to find people who can move quickly, who can communicate very well with the target group. The justice sector is the one that affected us the most. We have no decision, no new minister, at the moment. We are having discussions and in the near future we will come up with decisions. The Prime Minister will continue to lead the Cabinet," explained the chairman of the Party of Action and Solidarity.

President Maia Sandu announced that Cabinet reshuffles will take place by the end of this year as the government understood the protest vote expressed by the citizens during the presidential election and the referendum.
