An exclusive festivity will be held at the Presidential Building on August 27 to celebrate the Independence Day, said President Igor Dodon, who chaired an organizational meeting, IPN reports.
The event will take place in the assembly hall of Moldova’s first Parliament, where the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Moldova was voted 29 years ago, starting at 10am.
“A unique festivity will be staged and this could be followed live on the channels Moldova 1, NTV Moldova and on the websites www.privesc.eu, www.realitatea.md,” said Igor Dodon.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said the bank holidays of the end of August this year will be celebrated in a restricted format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
