The Russian administration decided to provide 180,000 doses of Sputnik-V vaccine to Moldova in humanitarian aid, including 60,000 doses for the Transnistrian region. The first lots are to be delivered the next few days, said the leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon, who is in Moscow on a visit, IPN reports.

During his visit, Igor Dodon met with Dmitry Kozak, the deputy head of the Kremlin administration. “We discussed the whole range of the bilateral relations, including relevant practical aspects for extending the duty-free export of particular Moldovan agro-industrial products on the Russian market. We also spoke about the continuation of the humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation,” noted the Socialist leader.

In a post on Facebook, Igor Dodon said that in the discussion with Dmitry Kozak, he informed the Russian side about the Moldovan side’s intention to purchase at least 500,000 doses of Sputnik-V vaccine within the public procurement procedure initiated by the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
