President Igor Dodon says that Ion Ceban should be the mayor of all Chisinau residents - of both those who voted for him and those who didn't vote for him. "People are expecting solutions to some concrete problems in Chisinau: roads, water, sewerage, etc. And I urge Mr. Ceban not to engage in politics at the City Hall. People want changes for the better. And I think this is possible," said the head of state at a press conference, held together with the PSRM candidate for mayoralty and the party chairwoman Zinaida Greceanîi, IPN reports.

Igor Dodon has mentioned that starting Monday, the party will hold internal consultations on the parliamentary majority. "We support Maia Sandu Government and we are responsible for maintaining this parliamentary majority. Even if we have some proposals to increase the efficiency of the governance, we will discuss them with our partners,” stressed Igor Dodon, quoted in a press release of the PSRM. According to the president, the majority coalitions will be created at local, district and municipal level.

Zinaida Greceanîi, leader of the PSRM, has announced that, according to preliminary data, in the second round the party won victory in other 82-83 villages and four district centers. The politician maintains that after approving all the councillor mandates, the PSRM intends to create majority coalitions at the district level as well. The subject will be discussed this week.

Ion Ceban thanked all Chisinau residents and assured them that he would be the mayor of all citizens. "I see no other solution than to work together, to divide responsibilities and not positions. And we'll do it starting tomorrow. I want to thank my family, who has been patient all this time. I want to thank the team that worked with me on this campaign - they are special people. And I want to say that starting tomorrow we will work for the benefit of Chisinau and its inhabitants,” mentioned Ion Ceban at a press conference, held close to midnight on Sunday.

After the processing of all the minutes, most votes for the position of mayor of the capital - 52.39% - have been accumulated by the candidate of the Socialist Party, Ion Ceban. His opponent from the ACUM electoral bloc, Andrei Năstase, obtained 47.61% of the votes of Chisinau dwellers.
