Igor Dodon said that if he had remained President, the vaccination for COVID-19 would have started in several weeks or in a month. “The new President who will take up her duties should think now about solutions. We are ready to help,” Dodon stated when answering a question in the online program “Igor Dodon. President responds”, IPN reports.

He noted that the Government is doing its best to obtain the vaccine.

In another development, Igor Dodon referred to the protests to which President-elect Maia Sandu invited the people. “We must ascertain an evident thing – those who won the elections try to destabilize the situation in the country,” said the incumbent President.

Even if a demonstration in his support was held before the presidential runoff in the square of the National Opera House, and he also took part in it, now Igor Dodon reproaches Maia Sandu for the protest planned for this Sunday. “What’s the goal of this protest? To infect several thousand people more with COVID? What is the concrete goal of this protest? No one prevents you from taking up your duties now that you won the presidential elections. What do you want to do – to infect the people with COVID or to enter the Parliament Building or the Government Building by force?” asked Igor Dodon.

According to him, the Party of Socialists is not afraid of snap elections. On the contrary, it is ready to delegate MP Vlad Batrîncea to work out a roadmap for the dissolution of Parliament.
