“I will no way concede before the government. I will not accept discredited candidates and will not sign laws that run counter to the people’s interests. What the government does now with the help of the Constitutional Court will not pass without consequences,” President Igor Dodon said, commenting on the January 5 judgment by which the CC suspended Dodon from office for the third time for his refusal to promulgate a law, IPN reports.

After the judgment was passed, President Dodon wrote on a social networking site that after the parliamentary elections of 2018, he will change and repair many things in the Government, Parliament and the Constitutional Court. “It is inadmissible for people who swore allegiance to the Romanian state to decide the politics of the Moldovan state. A decisive battle will be given this year. I call on the citizens to consolidate all the patriotic forces against the Euro-unionist government that considers it will subdue the people’s will by force and pressure,” wrote Igor Dodon

As regards the law by which amendments were made to the Broadcasting Code, which he calls the “anti-propaganda law”, Igor Dodon said it is an evident abuse against the Moldovan citizens’ freedom of information. It is censorship based on double standards, in the style of the Democrats who are in power. “Why do they ignore the media outlets that openly promote the liquidation of the statehood of the Republic of Moldova? What the government does not looks more like agony than democracy,” wrote Igor Dodon.

The President warns that time will come when the policy of double standards will cause victims among the Democrats, who will suffer the consequences in the long run, including owing to the aggressive geopolitics that they pursue.
