President Igor Dodon leaves for Russia on June 23 to take part in the Red Square parade. In Moscow, he will have a number of meetings in which he will discuss customs duties on Moldovan products, transport authorizations and the Russian loan, IPN reports.
The official said he goes to Moscow by an ordinary flight. “The goal is to take part in the June 24 parade held to celebrate the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 75 years ago. I also plan to have important bilateral meetings. With colleagues from Russia, I want to discuss three important aspects,” President Dodon stated in the program “President Responds”.
He noted that the preferential duty-free regime of export of Moldovan products to Russia expires on June 30. The customs duties that are to be paid as of July 1 are rather large. “That’s why the extension of these concessions is one of the first subjects I will discuss with Mister Putin, Mister Kozak,” said the official.
He noted he will also discuss the transport authorizations. About 16,000 authorizations a year are not enough. He will ask to increase the number. “The third subject is the Russian loan and, in general, additional support for the Republic of Moldova,” stated Igor Dodon.
