Igor Dodon didn’t deliver on his promise to the President of everyone and, instead of fulfilling his duties, he became engaged in a political struggle that splits society, said experts invited to the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

Anatol Taranu, director of the Center for Strategies Research and Political Consultancy “Politicon”, said Igor Dodon didn’t keep the promise to be the President of everyone. “It seems to me that Dodon did everything he promised to do except for becoming the President of everyone and protecting everyone’s interests. The attempt to change the course of history shows this. Try to understand that you are not in government and we will do everything possible to prevent you from reaching government. How can one say that the course of history after 1990s is false and that Russia saved us from hunger, when most of the people died in Moldova because of the organized famine,” stated the expert.

Vlad Turcanu, ex-spokesman for former President Nicolae Timofti, noted the current President, by the pursued policy, divides society even more. “The score obtained by Maia Sandu in the presidential runoff shows that almost half of the population has other views. Igor Dodon wasn’t chosen to lead a political struggle from the position of the Party of Socialists,” he stated.

Ion Ceban, secretary of the presidential administration, replied: “When you speak about famine, don’t forget that now, in the 21st century, there are people who do not have what to eat and children who do not go to school. As regards history, nowhere in the world do they study in one state the history of another state. You are unionists and plead for the liquidation of the Moldovan state.”
