Igor Dodon – 36%, Maia Sandu – 30% with 60% of votes counted

With 60% of the votes cast in the presidential elections of November 1 being counted, the results are as follows: Igor Dodon and Maia Sandu occupy the first two spots. Independent candidate Igor Dodon, who is supported by the Party of Socialists, polled 36% of the ballot, while PAS candidate Maia Sandu – 30.6% of the vote, IPN reports.

The Our Party’s candidate Renato Usatyi gained about 16% of the vote, the Shor Party’s candidate Violeta Ivanov – about 8%, the PPPDA candidate Andrei Năstase – 3%, the PUN candidate Octavian Țîcu – almost 2%, the PLDM candidate Tudor Deliu – 1.59%, the UNION Bloc’s candidate Dorin Chirtoacă – slightly over 1%.
