The company Horus Energy is ready to implement a new investment project with own financial resources to retechnologize energy block No. 2 of CET (thermoelectric plant) Source 1 of Termoelectrica, based on European technologies in the proportion of 80%.

In a news conference held at IPN, Eugeniu Dodiță, Horus Energy commercial director, said the implementation of such a project will lead to the improvement of the global energy efficiency of the energy block by at least 10%, to lower consumption of fuel (natural gas) for producing the same quantity of energy, to reduced gas emissions and prolongation of the exploitation resource of the existing cogeneration sources with minimum investments.

Also, Termoelectrica would gain at least €1 million extra incomes during the heating season, while the heat charges for citizens will decrease inevitably. The extensive and the current repair works performed now at block No. 2 do not ensure the safe and inoffensive functionality of the equipment.

Mihai Godea, director for development of the Horus group of companies, said the money spent eventually by Horus on the retechnologization of energy block No. 2 can be recouped from the energy efficiency of the retechnologized block and from the money that Termoelectrrica will keep as a result of retechnologization. Relevant proposals were submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Termoelectrica.

The Horus group of companies said that it is ready to cooperate with all the entities that are interested in the development of the energy sector of the Republic of Moldova as part of the system of the European Energy Community.
