Every day, the non-governmental organization “Honor and Rights of the Contemporary Woman” receives 3–4 cases involving victims of domestic violence or human trafficking. The organization’s support programs were presented during the “Violence Has No Excuse” conference held at IPN.

The association’s president, Olga Patlati, highlighted that beneficiaries receive individual and group psychological counseling, legal consultations, and financial support for housing rental, medical assistance and medications, clothing, and footwear, tailored to the specific needs of those seeking help.

Another program, aimed at women, provides training to facilitate employment and business development through small grants. A specialized program for children focuses on protecting minors and includes sessions on financial education and personal development for teenagers.

The association’s representatives called on state institutions and non-governmental organizations to collaborate actively in preventing violence against women.

The initiative is financially supported by Gender-Centru, UNFPA Moldova, the British Embassy, the “OK” Foundation, and intermediaries from the Romanian Association for Community Relations. The event is part of the Gender Equality Platform, running until December 10.

The “Honor and Rights of the Contemporary Woman” association works not only during the 16 days dedicated to gender equality but also year-round, organizing informational sessions, partnerships, and workshops to support victims of domestic violence.
