The lump-sum intended for medical-sanitary and pharmaceutical specialists working in rural areas, as they were assigned by the Ministry of Health, will be by 50% higher. A decision to this effect was taken by the Cabinet on May 3, IPN reports.
The lump-sum for doctors and druggists will rise from 30,000 to 45,000 lei, while for secondary medical and pharmaceutical personnel from 24,000 lei to 36,000 lei.
The financial support will be allocated in equal tranches of 11,250 for doctors and druggists and of 9,000 lei for secondary medical and pharmaceutical personnel. The first tranche will be paid after the first month of work, while the next tranches after each year of work.
The Ministry of Health said almost one third of the young specialists assigned to work in rural areas refuse to work, while some decide not to practice the studied profession for a period.
